Fading Hard Times

September was a month I would not like to repeat. Joe had surgery on his neck for a disc replacement for a herniated disc. He is healing very well and doing better than before. I had radioiodine for my thyroid cancer. By itself, it was two pills with minimal side effects. But there was a weird diet the two weeks beforehand, and a week of isolation, which was keeping my distance from people because I was highly radioactive. I also had work and installed two gardens for clients.

But all the hard stuff is fading, and I’m enjoying a simpler life of fall colors. All the kids are in school and doing well; there are football and basketball games to enjoy, and time to spend with family
