We hiked Bald Mountain on the Mirror Lake Highway. With the whole family, including my parents, and all our children. Great-grandpa even came but stayed behind in the parking lot. We all made it. It’s a relatively short mountain to climb, only a couple of miles up, but it was also one of the longest hikes I’ve taken my children on, and they were troopers.
Afterward, Peter really needed to use the bathroom, so we took a quick stop at Provo Falls. I was super glad he needed to go right when we were driving by because it was very beautiful.
(Okay, in all honesty, Joe ended up carrying Henry a lot of the way, and Curtis and Henry were promised $10 each if they could reach the top. That worked fairly well as motivation, plus some prodding along the way.)
