I recently read of someone’s return to the church, and the reason they returned was the question, “What do you want to believe?” (I’d link to it, but I don’t remember where.) When reflecting on my testimony, I’ve realized that knowledge is not as important as wanting to believe. Faith, that wanting to believe, leads us to keep going even when there are doubts. When we gain knowledge through study and prayer it’s important, but unless we also want the knowledge to be true it won’t matter to us.
