Hiking has always been something I enjoy. I hauled the kids along for a short hike on Gibb’s Loop in Ogden.

We hiked for a while. There was a lot of complaining. A lot of the trail was very hot, sunny, and not fun, and then we just hiked to another trail head where we should have started to begin with to avoid the hot sunniness.

And then when we made it back, the stream and area around the park where we started was far more fun than anything we did on the hike.

Sometimes things don’t go like I would hope. That’s okay.
