I’m not a cake person. I’m horrible at decorating, don’t really enjoy eating it. So when Peter brought home a recipe book filled with cake recipes, I wasn’t excited. But I try to sometimes do what my children want to do, even if I don’t. We made this rainbow poke cake.
It was delicious. It actually looked pretty good. And it was fun to make together. It was rather simple: just mix up a white cake according to the package, add gel food coloring, and layer it all together. Bake according to the package, cool off and poke holes in it with a fork. Topped with a box of orange jello mixed with 1 c boiling water and 1 c cold water, whipped cream, and sprinkles.
It tasted yummy as well as looking great
