I went to the Zoo with my mom and sister-in-law, and my nieces. We had fun, it was a warm day and the animals were interesting.

Although, part of my mind was thinking about how all these animals have jobs in the wild: roles to play in the ecosystem. And in the zoo, they lose all that purpose. It’s kind of sad we haven’t’ figured out how to work more with animals in their natural habitat. Instead, we run them down to extinction, and they display them in artificial cages.

Okay, it’s still fun to go to the zoo with family. And after the zoo, I was able to meet my newest nephew for the first time.
